STAFF

As a church with a democratic, congregational structure, Minnekirken’s Voter’s Assembly – and the Church Council members they elect – provide both essential direction to the congregation and support to the staff, in accordance with our Constitution and By-Laws. Besides our resident Pastor and staff, Minnekirken is also blessed to host visiting clergy, educators, youth workers, and others who come from Norway to serve the church on temporary assignments.

Congregation President Beverly Covyeau

Growing up in Logan Square, Beverly frequently attended Minnekirken with her grandmother, Agnes Lindgren. Being raised in the Norwegian culture, she celebrated many Norwegian traditions with her family. Syttende Mai, which at the time took place in Humboldt Park, was Beverly's favorite. Her son, Christian, was baptized and confirmed at Minnekirken. He is currently a Trustee on Minnekirken's Board of Directors. Beverly and her husband, Ray, live in the city, west of Logan Square. Beverly is a Real Estate Broker in Chicago; she also enjoys working and managing the properties that she and her husband own. She still has fond memories of visiting her cousins in Skien, Norway.
